Highly flexible instruments: Are they only useful in steep curvatures?
One of the clinician’s biggest concerns during endodontic treatment is the separation of files in the instrumentation phase. Current systems seek to modify some characteristics to try to reduce that risk by modifying alloys and design, making them more resistant to cyclical fatigue. However, this fact makes the files more ductile instruments that may not resist torsion. The objective of this talk will be to discuss how and by what strategies this fact can be compensated and used in favor of the clinician, reducing iatrogenic events.
