The use of plasma rich in growth factors in TMJ pathology
Osteoarthritis is a prevalent and disabling disease that affects an increasing percentage of the world’s population. Different types of treatments have been proposed over the last few decades to address the degenerative processes of articular cartilage, each with its own advantages and disadvantages, with plasma rich in growth factors currently being a first-line treatment option in orthopedics and sports medicine due to its role in stimulating the regeneration of joint and muscle tissue. The aim of this conference is to provide information on the biological and clinical foundations as well as the therapeutic applications of growth factors in TMJ pathology from an eminently clinical perspective.
